Welcome at IT@automation

The demand for support in IT issues in automation is growing rapidly which can be seen in the increase in questions from our circle of members. The development cycles of new IT technologies for automation technology are getting shorter and shorter. New technologies need to be adapted and “industrialized” for the production and automation environment. For this we take advantage of the close proximity between the two associations Software and Electrical Automation, and clearly and visibly strengthening the joint approach to the topic. Both groups have a combined total of over 400 members and represent more than 10 percent of all VDMA member companies. This alone shows the significance of information and automation technology. The forum aims to promote cross-sector trends in software, information technology and automation technology together across the association boundaries.
